In the mail at Operation Worship Headquarters came this letter from a soldier who received an OW Bible...
“I am currently in my 3rd week of basic combat training. I received a Bible following my church services from your organization and when I read the note from someone I began to cry. Not tears of sadness, but tears of joy that my decision to travel into the desert and face the devil has left an impact of importance on even a stranger’s life.
Matthew 4:1-11 – “The temptation of Jesus” My calling to the Army and basic combat training is my desert, and my devil is my lack of faith. Before coming to basic, I had a severe lack of faith, but I have now found Jesus and God. Upon my arrival at basic training I was scared. I was lost, confused, and wondering if my decision to join the Army was the right thing to do. I made the choice to attend church to learn and that was my initial reason, but now, it has become a spiritual connection. I read my Bible every night before bed and I joined our church choir. After receiving a copy of “Operation Worship Holy Bible” I made the decision to be baptized during my cycle in basic training.
I read into the Bible and found the page where the email address was to have one of these Bibles sent to family/friend. Since I am in basic I am unable to email your organization to have one sent to someone in need. My request is that I have one sent to my parents. Please send them one.

Re: We received this letter at HQ recently from a soldier...Praise the Lord! Welcome to the family of God's children. I am so proud of you for making the decision and accepting Him into your heart and life. I will be praying for you. The road will be tough, but He will carry you. He will surely use you to reach out to fellow comrades. May God's peace reign in your life daily, may His protection be evident and seizeless. May God provide with you a sagacious character and sense of compassion for those around you. God bless you.

Re: We received this letter at HQ recently from a soldier...Welcome soldier to the family of God. I have a son in the Marines, and he re-dedicated his life to the Lord while at boot camp. It was a letter, that made me cry over and over each time I read it. Thank you for your service to this country. My prayers are with each and every man and woman who serve this wonderful country. Just keep reading your Bible and talking to Jesus, and he will give you strength and peace. Again thank you for your service, and may God bless you richly.
